0.B. Montessori Center (OBMC or “We”) is committed to protect and respect your personal data privacy.

By providing information to OBMC through our official Website, email or through filling out manual forms, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of certain information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

OBMC collects the following data:

  • Personal details such as name, birth, gender, civil status and affiliations;

  • Contact information such as address, email, mobile and telephone numbers;

  • Academic information such as grades from previous school;

  • Employment information such as government-issued numbers, position and functions;

  • Applicant information such as academic background and previous employments;

  • Health information such as physical and psychological test results as needed and/or applicable.

COLLECTION and USE

Your Personal Data is used in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Only authorized OBMC personnel have access to the personal information you entrust to us. We collect Personal Data physically through printed forms, attachments, and other documents required by the School, its academic units, and its administrative offices. We also collect information through our electronic application forms and via email.

We collect and use such information only for processing your application for admissions, employment and for future correspondences with you. We may use your personal information to contact you with letters, circulars, announcements, and other related communication. We may also use your personal information in processing and evaluation of grades including all necessary documentations needed for record keeping, school events and government requirements.

STORAGE and RETENTION

Personal Data are stored in physical and electronic data processing systems managed by various units and offices of OBMC. Physical records are generally stored in folders or envelopes in drawers or shelves.

Electronic records are generally stored in cloud servers In case hard and soft copies of personal information will be disposed of and/or destroyed, this will be done through secured means.

All information submitted to or collected by OBMC will not be retained for a period longer than one (1) year for applicants who do not qualify. However, once a qualified applicant is enrolled/accepted in the institution, Personal Data shall be retained by OBMC in accordance with the applicable rule of retention and practices for educational institutions.

SECURITY

The security of your personal information is important to us and so it will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or other forms of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable security solutions to protect your personal information, we may not guarantee its absolute security.

Your personal information will not be shared to or with other parties unless necessary. Should this happen, it will be appropriately covered by a data sharing memorandum of agreement to protect your privacy.

EFFECTIVITY

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 31 May, 2024.

OBMC reserves the right to update or change this Privacy Policy at any time. Should this happen, you will be notified either through email or through a prominent notice on our official Website.
