O.B. Montessori Center (OBMC) and Operation Brotherhood Community Foundation were awarded certificates of appreciation by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at their National Headquarters in Manila last March 27, 2023, for their “support and assistance rendered during the consolidation, transport, and distribution of relief goods” to the affected families of Typhoon Paeng.

Severe Tropical Storm Paeng, with the international name Nalgae, struck the Philippines on October 29, 2022, making five landfalls in Luzon but it was reported that Mindanao suffered most deaths, particularly in the province of Maguindanao del Norte according to a report by Rappler

The OBMC community quickly responded with in-kind donations through the PCG Task Force Kalinga as part of its commitment to disaster response and its service to the nation.
